Re-Development Project

For 40 years this 'A' frame building has meant 'Laburnum' to thousands of young people however it was originally intended to be a temporary structure and after many adaptations and fixes we are going to conserve the identity and plan ahead for the next 40 years. Our new building will help us to continue to deliver amazing sessions by creating a bigger club room, a fully kitted out accessible kitchen to better provide for our breakfast club and holiday lunch club.

We're improving the changing room and showers, adding a new staff changing room, putting in a new ramp for easy wheelchair access, new cycle storage and changing the way we store equipment to stop it from raining inside!

As well as all that we will also be improving our eco footprint and cutting costs by installing solar panels, insulation and installing a new hot water system.

This is an ambitious but much needed update that will keep the identity and feel that is so important to so many people but we can't do it alone. There are loads of ways you can help, from donating, signing up to do the Hackney Half Marathon, taking part in our silent auction, volunteering your time to help us build or if you are a tradesperson and can offer your time/services we'd love to hear from you!

Get in touch if you want to run the half marathon, volunteer your time and/or skills or have any other great fundraising ideas to help us meet our goal.
